07/15/10 - CHOKHOR DUCHEN
The Buddhist holiday, Chokhor Duchen, commemorates the First Turning of the Wheel, the first sermon given by Shakyamuni Buddha after attaining enlightenment seven weeks earlier. The benefit of any virtuous action is believed to increase 10 million times when performed on this anniversary.
08/01 - 09/06/10 - NO CLASSES
Classes are cancelled during the month of August and part of September. Shamata practice on Wednesdays at 7pm continues.
09/07/10 - CLASSES RESUME
Regularly scheduled classes resume with Tuesday's class at 7pm.
